In some areas, these gentle giants are illegally fed by operators to keep them around for tourists. This disrupts their natural migration and reproduction cycles, which threatens the species’ long-term survival. Always opt for ethical, WWF-approved eco-tourism encounters where the animals are not fed or touched!
